Council calls for extended consultation period on EIS

Council is calling on the NSW Government to extend the public exhibition period for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed New England Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Transmission Project, arguing that the current 28-day consultation period does not provide sufficient time for communities to properly review and respond to the extensive documentation.

Council endorses amended Growth Management Strategy

Council has endorsed the amended draft Growth Management Strategy 2026-2046 and placed the document on public exhibition for 28 days to give the community a final opportunity to review the strategy before it is adopted.

Return and Earn bin baskets coming to Uralla

Council has secured funding through the NSW Return and Earn Bin Basket Program to install 20 recycling bin baskets on selected public bins in Uralla, making it easier for residents and visitors to recycle eligible drink containers while on the go.
