Phase 2 of SRV Community Engagement Begins

Council is inviting all residents to take part in Phase 2 of our community engagement around the proposed Special Rate Variation (SRV) and there are plenty of ways to get involved this October.

The SRV is a proposed increase to Council rates to help secure long-term financial sustainability and continue delivering essential services to our community. It’s about ensuring we can maintain roads, waste services, community facilities, and more not just now, but into the future.

In Phase 1, we asked residents to share their early thoughts through a short survey and 116 people responded. Thank you to everyone who took part! Your feedback has helped shape phase 2 of the engagement. If you requested a one-on-one chat in your survey response, we’ll be in touch in the coming weeks to arrange a time that suits you.

As phase 2 begins, we have now launched a formal survey. This is your chance to have your say and help guide Council’s decision-making.

If you don’t have access to a computer or simply prefer a paper copy, just call our friendly Customer Service team on 6778 6300 and we’ll post one out to you (complete with a reply-paid envelope so you can send it back easily) or you can collect one from Bundarra General Store or Uralla Library.

To ensure everyone has an opportunity to learn more we are hosting community info sessions and Councillor catch-ups across the Shire throughout October.  These are great opportunities to ask questions, learn about the details of the proposal, and speak directly with Council staff and elected representatives.
